Today, H.E. Hon Paul Simba Arati presided over the inauguration of the Kisii Municipal Board. In his address, the governor emphasized the need for the board to carry out its responsibilities with utmost accountability, transparency, and efficiency.
Governor Arati also officially transitioned all municipal services from the county to the newly established board. As an immediate priority, he instructed the board to expedite the completion and operationalization of the Material Recovery Facility (MRF) currently under construction at ATC. This facility is expected to significantly improve waste management within the county and contribute to the environmental goals of the Lake Region Economic Block.
