Nestled in the heart of Kisii County, with a breathtaking view of Kisii town and the lush, rolling countryside, Kereri Girls High School stands as a beacon of academic excellence and discipline. From its modest beginnings six decades ago, the institution has grown exponentially, earning a distinguished reputation as a sanctuary of learning—one that countless young girls aspire to join in pursuit of academic success.
Marking a remarkable 60-year journey, I had the privilege of joining the Kereri Girls fraternity in celebrating their Diamond Jubilee—a testament to the school’s transformative legacy. The event was not only a moment to reflect on past achievements but also an opportunity to celebrate milestones in academics and extracurricular activities while envisioning an even brighter future.
True to their motto, “Elimu na Nidhamu” (Education and Discipline), the celebrations were further enriched by the launch of the book Leading Forward. This literary masterpiece captures the school’s inspiring history, symbolizing optimism, resilience, and the power of vision in the pursuit of greatness.
