OFFICE OF THE COUNTY ATTORNEY
SENIOR LEGAL COUNSEL (1 POST) JOB GROUP‘L’-VACANCY NO. KSI/PSB/EA/18/2024
Requirements for Appointment
- Be a Kenyan Citizen.
- Holder of a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized university;
- Hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Council of Legal Education;
- Must be an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya for at least three (3) years and have a current practicing certificate;
- Must be a member of the Law Society of Kenya (LSK);
- Must meet the requirements of chapter six of the Constitution of Kenya 2010;
- Proficiency in computer applications;
- Possess legal research skills.
The duties and responsibilities include: –
- Shall, on the instructions of the county attorney represent the county executive in court or in any other legal proceedings to which the county executive is a party, other than criminal proceedings.
- Analyzing research data and compiling reports
- Undertaking law review
- Interpreting legal instruments and statutes.
- Perform any other function that may be assigned from time to time.
Terms of Service: Permanent and Pensionable Remunerations: as per SRC Guidelines.

- Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI).
- Tax Compliance Certificate from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA).
- Clearance Certificate from Higher Education Loans Board. (HELB).
- Dully filled and stamped Self-Declaration/Clearance from the Ethics and Anti- Corruption Commission (EACC).
- A Clearance Certificate from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB).
