Job Grade: JG 7
Job Purpose
Provide efficient driving services and ensure proper functioning of the vehicle through regular repair, maintenance, and cleanliness.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Safely transporting company staff as well as various products and materials to and from specified locations in a timely manner.
- Maintain the vehicle log indicating mileage, task accomplished, departure and arrival times, and monitoring of vehicle movement as well as costs.
- Ensure that the company vehicle is always parked in areas that permit parking in order to avoid towing.
- Responsible for general maintenance and cleanliness of the assigned vehicle.
- Perform minor repairs on vehicles when necessary, as advised.
- Report vehicle mechanical faults to the Transport Officer.
- Adhere to traffic laws and safety regulations to avoid accidents or incidents.
- Ensure the vehicle has a valid insurance certificate
- Transport goods and passengers to designated locations safely and on time.
- Excellent time-management skills
Qualifications & Experience
- Valid Driving Licence
- 3 years driving experience
- Clean driving record
- Good knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations
- Flexibility in working hours: the ability to work during weekends and evenings
- Certificate of Good Conduct
- Punctual and Reliable
- The ability to utilize maps, GPS systems, and car manuals
